Karen is the founder of of Nama Rococo, a studio based in North Adams Massachusetts that creates exquisite hand-painted and hand-screened works of art. While we’re sure we could never accurately summarize the wonder and ideology of her extraordinary work, we think a small survey of her experiences and inspirations do a pretty good job. Combine several educations at respected creative institutions with a patchwork of influences and environments ranging from Chinese scrolls to the West Village circa 1970, and attendance at the first ever Pixies concert. What else needs to be said?
The designs Karen created for Asterisk have the same whimsy and soul as the rest of her compelling, unique body of work. The geometric shapes ride the line between order and organic, and can be applied to your bike in infinite ways.
